Both pencil and deep pleats offer a classic, gathered appearance. The difference lies in scale and functionality:

Pencil Pleat: 3” heading tape with 3 hook positions. Suitable for standard windows and contract spaces.

Deep Pleat: 6” heading tape with 6 hook positions. Offers a more dramatic drop and is ideal for high ceilings or premium installations.

Both styles can be specified in fire resistant fabrics and are commonly used in care homes, hotels, and student accommodations.

Thermal lining is a specialist dual-layer fabric designed to improve energy efficiency in commercial interiors. Interlining adds a soft fleece-like layer between the main fabric and the lining. It increases thermal insulation and enhances drape for a plusher, more luxurious look.
